Publishing ETF Mutual Funds, BNI Offers Investment Saving Packages

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - PT BNI Asset Management published the MSCI Indonesia Equity Index BNI-AM Nusantara Exchange Trade Fund (ETF) Mutual Fund on Wednesday. This Mutual Fund with code XBNI is the 4th Index ETF Mutual Fund listed on the IDX throughout 2018.

Main Director of BNI Asset Management Reita Farianti explained, launching this ETF Index Mutual Fund so that investors can obtain long-term investment growth through the performance of the MSCI Indonesia index. "We launched this Mutual Fund to provide product variants for investors who are interested in investments that are liquid and searchable on the IDX because XBNI is traded through the primary and secondary markets on the IDX," he said at the IDX Building Wednesday (23/5/2018).

This ETF Mutual Fund has been traded in Indonesia since 2017. "Especially for ETFs with the MSCI reference index which is known globally, only BNI-AM has issued it so we hope this ETF can be an attractive investment choice in the passive mutual fund category," he said.

The advantages of XBNI are diversified shares, managed by professional fund managers, have international selection standards, and are affordable for retail investors.

"Investors who are interested in buying and selling XBNI on the primary market can do so through participating dealers, namely Indo Premier Sekuritas. Meanwhile, XBNI on the secondary market can be done through the IDX trading mechanism with stock exchange member intermediaries," he said. Reita also added that this mutual fund is a form of investment-saving package.

"It is hoped that the launch of XBNI can enrich product variants and provide access to all levels of investors to invest in cheap and affordable capital market products. We call this an investment-saving package to get optimal returns," he said.

For information only, each unit of this mutual fund participation is offered at the same price as the net asset value of IDR 1,000 on the first delivery date determined by BNI-AM as the investment manager of the MSCI Indonesia ETF mutual fund issuer.

Then for purchases on the primary market the minimum transaction is the value of 1 creation unit which is equivalent to 100,000 pieces of participation units. As for the secondary market, it can be done starting from 1 lot or the equivalent of 100 units of participation.
