BNI Asset Management cooperates with Generation Millennials as Pioneers to invest in Mutual Funds online

BNI Asset Management (hereinafter referred to as BNI-AM) is currently intensively socializing and educating about Mutual Fund investment in front of the millennial generation, which is one of the ways that BNI-AM does in increasing financial literacy as called for by the OJK for all Financial Services Businesses ( PUJK). BNI-AM in collaboration with the University of Indonesia ("UI") introduced Mutual Fund Investment from an early age as well as socialized UI's endowment fund, namely the BNI-AM Makara Investment Mutual Fund to students from all Faculties at UI.

This is a follow-up to a series of financial socialization and education activities on campus. In socialization on the UI Campus, BNI-AM collaborated with the Investthink.id and Smart Mapan communities to introduce Mutual Fund Investment to all University of Indonesia (UI) students as well as students from universities around the UI Depok Campus. The theme that was carried out in this socialization was INVESTASYIK! "Smart Finance with Current Investments - Investment Simulation through Digital", which was held at the Vocational Auditorium, University of Indonesia Campus -Depok, Wednesday, (09/5/2018). On this occasion BNI-AM is collaborating with INVISEE as an online selling agent for Mutual Funds. To increase its reach, Invisee collaborates with T-Cash (as a source of funds for purchases) and Gojek (vouchers for Gojek users to purchase Mutual Funds online).

"Nowadays, BNI Asset Management has collaborated with several online Mutual Fund sales agents, where we want to socialize Mutual Fund investment to make it easier to access, and cheap, only Rp. 100,000,-. There are no more obstacles for the millennial generation to start investing in Mutual Funds for the reason that it is difficult and expensive. Everything is very easy, it can be done anywhere, everything can be done online," said Reita Farianti as Main Director of BNI-AM.

Investthink is a community of young millennial generation investors whose members have started investing in the capital market in the last 2 (two) years. Malik Adhi, co-founder of Investthink Indonesia, said that his party wanted to introduce the millennial generation to start investing literacy at a young age. "That investment is not a complicated and expensive thing, but investment can be started easily, cheaply and fun."

Reita Farianti as the Main Director of BNI-AM is optimistic that the interest of students or other millennials to invest in Mutual Funds will increase in 2018. "We hope that millennials, especially students will understand Mutual Funds and stocks more quickly, practice investing online as their need and lifestyle, because it's cheap, starting from 100,000, - you can already invest." Apart from that, by investing in Mutual Funds, it also has long-term goals as part of financial planning through investment instruments that can provide returns above the inflation rate to meet needs at retirement age later, "added Reita.

In his presentation at this socialization, BNI-AM will provide investment insights on capital market product instruments, especially the BNI-AM Makara Investment Mutual Fund as a Mutual Fund product formed as a result of cooperation between BNI-AM and UI to develop the UI Endowment Fund.

Meanwhile Drs Erwin Nurdin MSi – Director of Career Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Indonesia said that the University of Indonesia in collaboration with BNI-AM has launched this Makara Investment Mutual Fund product since December 2016. The BNI-AM Makara Investment Mutual Fund is one of the strategies for developing the Fund Abadi UI which is owned by the University of Indonesia. This Mutual Fund was born not only for the UI academic community but is also offered for the general public to invest while participating in building UI through investing in this Mutual Fund.

Reita added, "By investing in the BNI-AM Makara Investment Mutual Fund, students and the entire academic community can start learning to invest, starting from IDR 100,000, where students can choose the Regular Investment category or the Platinum one. In the Regular Mutual Fund category, Investors are entitled to all participation units and continue to receive all of their investment returns, while those in the BNI-AM Makara Investment Platinum Investment category are donations and the proceeds will be donated to the University of Indonesia, "explained Reita Farianti - President Director of BNI AM.
