BNI Asset Management Aims for Millennial Investors

SEMARANG - The high growth of millennial investors has made this segment one of the targets targeted by BNI Asset Management (BNI AM), especially in mutual fund penetration. Although in terms of the number of funds collected is still not large, it is estimated that in the next few years the potential will be much higher.

BNI Asset Management's Director of Investment and OPR, Putut Andanawarih, revealed that cooperation has been carried out with securities and has also collaborated with financial technology (fintech) companies. "This is in line with market needs where the fintech industry wants to act as a mutual fund seller. In terms of growth, the increase is extraordinary because there is indeed a user experience from this millennial segment that can be met through fintech," Putut added at a media gathering in Semarang, Tuesday (10/9).

Previously, the BNI AM staff also visited the Editor of Suara Merdeka on Jalan Kawi Raya No. 20 Semarang. Putut was accompanied by Head of Network Services BNI Semarang Regional Office Irfan Setiabudi Lubis, and Corporate Secretary & Communication Head BNI Asset Management Joelianty Harriny, and his team.

During the visit they were received by the Chief Editor of Suara Merdeka Gunawan Permadi, Deputy Chief Editors Agus Toto Widyatmoko and Triyanto Triwikromo, as well as Director of Sales and Communication Bambang Pulunggono and Chief Representative of Suara Merdeka Semarang Doni Setyo Nugroho. Putut added that BNI AM, which has been operating for eight years, is currently in the top eight companies out of a total of 97 with total assets or funds managed reaching Rp 22.3 trillion.

“Asset growth is quite high at 15% per year. In the past, to buy, you had to go to a bank in wealth management, as if only rich people bought mutual funds. Now it allows anyone to have it at an affordable price only through the application and millennials love the ease of accessing it," he explained. (J14-46)
