Because of the pandemic, investment is no longer for the rich

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The pandemic has taught many things, including the matter of investing, which is apparently not only done by people with money, but has started to be done by the community.
This was conveyed by Investment Manager/President Director of BNI Asset Management, Putut Endro Andanawarih in the Webinar inspiration Talk "Health and Wealth Postpandemic" BNI INvestime Week in Jakarta, Wednesday (7/4/2021).
"Learned from last year, the sales channel is now using a new one. Suddenly it is possible for people to buy mutual funds easily, through online," he said.
Changing the paradigm, which used to know about investing for the rich, now set aside some to be used in the future to increase wealth. So yesterday's extraordinary growth must be grateful for," he added.
He noted that the biggest asset growth was money market mutual funds (RDPU). According to him, BNI Asset Management provides products that the market wants.
"The pandemic conditions are frightening, so it's safe to go to money market mutual funds. The pandemic makes the chosen instrument low risk," he said.
Safe risk, in this case the customer chooses money market mutual funds. Apart from being safe, this instrument is also seen from the liquidity side which can attract money quickly. "Save money now, tomorrow can be taken, flexible," he said.
2020 is indeed a dark year, but there are opportunities, especially related to the government's stimulus. This stimulus makes the government provide a lot of subsidies.
"What is felt is a decrease in interest rates. Not only money market mutual funds are benefiting but fixed income mutual funds. This is getting more benefits. This is starting to rise, but not all investors know. But usually investors move up from money market mutual funds to fixed income funds," he concluded.
