Managed Funds Soaring, Which MI Set Records?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - When the managed funds of industrial mutual funds increased by IDR 37.82 trillion to IDR 543.21 trillion as of the end of September 2019 from the end of 2018, there were several investment manager companies (MI) that experienced an increase in net asset value (NAV) or asset under management (AUM). ) which is significant compared to the others.
The increase was mainly due to an increase in the value of their investment portfolio in their mutual funds as well as from the purchase of new units of the mutual funds they manage.
In terms of value, the largest increase in mutual fund managed funds was experienced by PT BNI Asset Management, amounting to Rp. 6.27 trillion or up 41.01% from the position in December 2018. The position after that was occupied by PT Sucorinvest Asset Management with an increase of Rp. 4.17 trillion and PT Batavia Prosperindo Asset Management amounting to Rp 3.87 trillion.
Next are PT Bahana TCW Investment Management with an increase of Rp. 3.06 trillion, PT Samuel Aset Manajemen Rp. 2.55 trillion, PT Insight Investment Management Rp. 2.45 trillion, PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia Rp. 2.44 trillion, and PT Minna Padi. Asset Management Rp 2.31 trillion.
Interestingly, PT Minna Padi Aset Manajemen, which is on the list of the highest increase in mutual fund managed funds, was actually suspended from selling mutual funds last month due to allegations of promising definite returns to prospective customers.
On the other hand, the largest percentage increase occurred in PT Ayers Asia Asset Management 645.95% to Rp 244.09 billion, PT Kiwoom Investment Management Indonesia 323.7% to Rp 471.34 billion, and PT Indosurya Asset Management 182.81 % to Rp 29.18 billion.
Two other companies are PT Phillip Asset Management 180.4 percent to Rp 410.41 billion and PT Semesta Aset Manajemen 97.29 percent to Rp 54.44 billion.
However, most of the increase in percentage terms can occur in investment managers with a number of funds under management which has a small base calculation basis.
