BNI Asset Management Introduce Mutual Fund Investment to BNI Group Employees

BNI Asset Management (BNI-AM) is intensively conducting socialization and education regarding the importance of financial planning and investment in Mutual Funds both within the BNI Group and to external audiences. This is one way that BNI-AM does in increasing financial literacy as urged by the OJK for all Financial Service Providers (PUJK).

As part of the synergy between BNI and its Subsidiaries (BNI Group), BNI-AM held socialization on the importance of financial planning and investment in Mutual Funds as a preparation for a more established future for BNI Group employees at the Cakrawala BNI Jakarta Building on Wednesday 4 April 2018. On this occasion BNI-AM synergizes with BNI and BNI Sekuritas as Mutual Fund Selling Agents.

Reita Farianti as the Main Director of BNI-AM is optimistic that the interest of students or other millennials to invest in Mutual Funds will increase in 2018. "We hope that millennials, especially students, will more quickly understand mutual fund and stock investments, practice it (investing) as their need and lifestyle, because it's cheap, starting from Rp. 100,000, - you can already invest. Apart from that, by investing in Mutual Funds, it also has long-term goals as part of financial planning through investment instruments that can provide returns above the inflation rate to meet needs at retirement age later, "added Reita.

BNI-AM introduced Mutual Fund Investment to both millennial generation BNI Group employees and BNI Group employees as alumni from 3 Universities (UI, ITB and UGM) who collaborated with BNI-AM in issuing Endowment Fund Mutual Funds.

In his presentation at today's socialization, BNI-AM provided investment insights regarding Endowment Fund Mutual Fund instruments including BNI-AM Fixed Income Makara Investment Mutual Fund, ITB Harmoni-BNI AM Mutual Fund, and BNI-AM UGM Progressive Balanced Mutual Fund to BNI Group employees . The product is the result of cooperation between BNI-AM and UI, ITB and UGM to develop the University Endowment Fund.

The Endowment Fund Mutual Fund product is a Mutual Fund whose Management Fee sharing for its management will be given to the University in the amount of 33% of the total management fee of 1%, and can be used by the University to develop the Campus, both for research needs, scholarships for students who can't afford it , as well as maintenance and development of campus facilities and infrastructure. In addition, investors can also participate again to provide part or all of their returns to the University through a choice of investment features offered.

Reita added, "By investing in this Endowment Fund, BNI employees who are alumni of the three universities will not only get returns on their investments, but also make a contribution to their alma mater. So there is a social mission to serve the alma mater.”

This type of Endowment Fund Mutual Fund investment, BNI employees can start learning to invest, starting from IDR 100,000, where BNI Group employees can choose the Regular Investment category or the Platinum one. "For the Regular Investment category, Investors are entitled to all participation units and still get all of their investment returns, while for the Platinum Investment category it is a donation and the proceeds will be donated to the University," explained Reita.

In addition to introducing the Endowment Fund Mutual Fund, at the event BNI-AM also introduced several superior mutual fund products including the BNI30 Index Mutual Fund as a type of passive Mutual Fund launched by BNI-AM in 2017. The BNI30 Mutual Fund's investment objective is to replicate the performance of the Index 30 issued by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) which consists of 30 issuer shares with the largest and most liquid capitalization value on the IDX. By owning BNI30 Mutual Funds, it's as if investors are buying Indonesia's future because the stocks included in Index 30 are shares of companies with good fundamentals from various industries that have positive prospects.
