AUM Soars, This is BNI Asset's Strategy to Boost Mutual Funds

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Subsidiary of PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI), said several strategies were activated so that the company's managed funds or assets under management (AUM) aka Net Asset Value (NAV) grew significantly to date from the end of last year.
BNI-AM President Director Reita Farianti said the company he leads has a lot of cooperation with institutions as investors. Most of the company's AUM or reaching Rp 20 trillion comes from this channel.
"In terms of managed funds of Rp 23 trillion, Rp 20 trillion comes from our client institution direct selling there," said Reita in the Kuningan area, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/13/2019).
In addition, according to Reita, BNI-AM also collaborates with Mutual Fund Selling Agents (APERD) to boost the number of investors even more.
One of those invited to collaborate with BNI-AM is a fintech company such as APERD, namely PT Bibit Growing Together or the investment application for the Bibit mutual fund.
As is known, according to data compiled by the CNBC Indonesia Research Team, the AUM of industrial mutual funds increased from IDR 37.82 trillion to IDR 543.21 trillion as of the end of September 2019 from the end of 2018.
The increase was mainly due to an increase in the value of their investment portfolio in their mutual funds as well as from the purchase of new units of the mutual funds they manage.
In terms of value, the largest increase in managed mutual funds was experienced by BNI Asset Management of Rp. 6.27 trillion or up 41.01% from the position in December 2018.
